I've been taking these weird photos recently 

Thought i would share them today since i forgot to on the days i took them 

Anyway, I went to the gym after work today. 

And that's about it. 

ms. molt + philharmony + habits

you know the whole thing about if you do something for 30 days it will be a habit and you won't have to think about it again or whatever. i literally could not relate to this ever. like brushing my teeth every day is a thing i must do consciously. And i feel like i only do things for 30 days because i'm really interested in doing them for that duration and if anything it gets harder after that. 

anway i got my first commissioned artwork for my music persona, ms. molt. SHE IS SO CUTE. 

like literally what the fuck i love her <3

i'm considering making a video about why i did this. and i have just started another commission for line art from a different artist. it'll be fun to see how different their creation is. 

still obsessed with the Philharmony album. i find it like extremely comforting (which is weird if you know how unsettling and experimental it is) but it's really almost the only thing i want to listen to right now

also feeling like just reading hyunlix fanfic recently, so i think for whatever reason my brain just wants the comfiest things it can have right now and nothing scary and new (but also like, sign me up for repeat listens of Birthday Party https://youtu.be/oBpStgVHw5Y?si=2UORjBmPs-7pz6U4. sure, not like this is fucking weird and uncomfortable.)

i've been kind of obsessively listening to Living-Dining-Kitchen by Haruomi Hosono 
i've been kind of obsessively listening to the whole Philharmony album
it almost has that perfect mix of mundanity and absurd darkness that twin peaks has

it's not the most listenable album, you know. quite experimental. a lot of noises. but i just find myself looping it over and over.

Luminescent / Hotaru is the other song that i'm just looping and looping. 

sometimes i feel like i'm more exploratory, getting only a minute into a song and moving on to the next.

and sometimes i stew and re-live and re-live and re-live. I don't know why. 

Maybe I should clarify that I've listened to Haruomi Hosono before, like 2020 maybe 2019. And of course i listened to Funiculi Funicula and Sports Man

But now I'm getting drawn in by Picnic and Birthday Party, song i wouldn't have the patience for before. 

even the album art feels like twin peaks and maybe that's just where i'm living right now

I've started the process of getting artwork commissioned for my ms. molt character. i am so excited to see what comes of it! Extremely happy to be commissioning an artist. 

embroidered ducks + white opals

the Hyunlix x Twin Peaks fanfic experiment continues. 

today i actually wrote.

i also watched about 20 minutes of the pilot of twin peaks. I noticed that there are much slower moments where we linger on some mundane object, so I went back into my earlier writing and added moments like that in: a towel with embroidered ducks, raindrops collecting at the cuffs of a coat on a rack, a counter drying after being wiped down with a damp rag. 

and i imagined what posters a hyunjin in 1990s Twin Peaks would have.

I gave him Patti Smith because apparently she's admired him (mentioning Stray Kids in an instagram post), and liking a solo dance of Hyunjin's. 

and so then I was listening to Patti Smith while writing and i realized i never have! 

particularly fascinated by Birdland:
